Senior Accountant / Financial Controller (Finland)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant / Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance for our operations in Finland. You will work closely with the local Nordic team and Group Finance in the Netherlands, contributing to continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the monthly closing process
• Ensure compliance with Finnish statutory requirements
• Prepare and review financial statements (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Perform general ledger postings and reconciliations
• Support tax filings and statutory reporting
• Manage cash‑flow and liquidity forecasts
• Prepare annual reports and financial statements
• Collaborate with Nordic Finance and the accounting team in Poland
• Drive process improvements and automation
• Support audits, ad‑hoc analyses and projects with the Finance Director

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 6+ years of accounting experience
• 2+ years of financial controlling experience
• Fluency in Finnish and English
• Strong knowledge of Finnish regulations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics BC is a plus
• Background in customs or logistics is beneficial

Required skills
