Project Planner/Scheduler - Data Centres

About the role

Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company, majority-owned by CBRE Group, with a strong presence in the Data Centre sector. Because of the continued success and expansion of its Data Centre business in the Nordics, it is recruiting Project Planners/Schedulers for its Data Centre team in northern Finland. The ideal candidate has a track record on complex large-scale construction projects, in Data Centre, pharmaceutical, biotech, oil and gas, industrial, manufacturing or chemical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the master plan schedule, preparing and monitoring tasks so project requirements are met on schedule.
• Integrate various contract packages into the master plan schedule and review contractors' submitted schedules, making recommendations to the client.
• Prepare regular internal and external weekly and monthly progress reports for management and the client.
• Develop a project control procedure, interact with the contractor and verify project data to update the schedule.
• Develop mitigation plans, assess contractor extension of time claims and prepare defence claim reports and recommendation reports.
• Analyse the critical path and constraints to assess the effect of changes, and prepare site logistics planning.
• Prepare and propose micro-management schedules for critical elements of work.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, focused on complex construction projects, ideally with Data Centre experience.
• Experience coordinating multiple sources of schedule performance data into a master schedule platform and delivering project status reports for large-scale projects.
• Excellent English; Finnish preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build good working relationships with the project team.
• Availability for on-site work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Ability to integrate schedule performance data into a master schedule platform.
