Maintenance Technician – High Voltage Equipment

About the role

Hitachi Energy Service, a global provider of lifecycle services for electrical equipment, is looking for a maintenance technician for its Lapinranta or Vaasa business unit. The work follows company standard procedures and safety guidelines, in close cooperation with customers and stakeholders, and involves about 60–80 days away from home each year.

Key responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of high-voltage equipment and field service
• Installation and commissioning in renewal and expansion projects
• Installation of online monitoring devices for HV equipment
• Reporting on field service and site work

Required profile

• Vocational qualification in electrical engineering and experience as an electrician
• Field work experience (switchgear maintenance, installation and commissioning); experience with switchgear or equipment above 110 kV is an advantage
• General distribution experience is an advantage
• Good communication and teamwork skills, adaptability, responsibility and commitment to keeping promises
• Good spoken and written Finnish and English; other languages are an advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Office tools
