Electrical Design Engineer - Low Voltage Motors

About the role

ABB is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join its IEC LV Motors team in Vaasa, Finland. The engineer focuses on customer-specific motor designs, applying electrical engineering skills to various projects. The position reports to the Team Leader, Electrical Engineering, and follows a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Electrical design of customer-specific, low voltage induction motors
• Create order-specific documentation
• Collaborate with the engineering team, the factory organization, global sales and other stakeholders
• Provide post-order technical support and/or customer documentation

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering or similar
• Customer-oriented, team player able to make quick decisions
• Collaborative and solution-focused approach
• Good language skills in Finnish and English
• Experience in electric drive systems and electric motors, and industrial application knowledge, are seen as a benefit

Required skills

• Knowledge of engineering and tools such as Adept and Teamcenter
• Familiarity with MS Office and SAP
