Maintenance Technician – Elevator Equipment

About the role

KONE's Hyvinkää factory develops and manufactures demanding elevator solutions for global customers. Its development and maintenance team is responsible for the safety, usability, reliability and lifecycle management of production equipment, and supports continuous improvement. The company is looking for a maintenance technician to join the team in Hyvinkää, working closely with production, maintenance, development and external service partners.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair production machines and equipment, and carry out preventive maintenance
• Maintain and refurbish mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Perform welding, machining and installation work, and make tools and fixtures
• Record maintenance work, observations, used parts and follow-up actions in the maintenance system
• Investigate root causes of breakdowns and implement permanent repairs
• Take part in installing, modifying and commissioning machines, production lines and technical systems
• Continuously improve the safety, usability and condition of production equipment

Required profile

• Relevant machine and metalworking education or another suitable technical education
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance and machine technology
• Experience in machine building and tool making
• Good teamwork and initiative, with a safety-first approach and systematic fault finding
• Ability to document work clearly and to share knowledge with the team
• Good Finnish spoken and written; English is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong hydraulic and pneumatic skills
• Experience with milling, drilling and welding
• Basic understanding of electrical, automation and robotics systems
