Fleet Engineer – Maintenance Program

About the role

Finnair is looking for a Fleet Engineer to own and develop maintenance programs for its aircraft fleet. The role focuses on ensuring the fleet remains airworthy, reliable, and cost‑efficient by managing program data in the AMOS system and addressing aging aircraft challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, update and develop maintenance programs for assigned fleets within the AMOS maintenance information system.
• Analyse the impact of fleet aging on maintenance requirements and contribute to the Aging Aircraft Program.
• Propose and create new maintenance requirements and instructions in AMOS.
• Perform basic engineering duties, monitor fleet performance and reliability, and resolve problem cases.
• Track manufacturer and community information to improve aircraft and engine reliability.
• Monitor airworthiness data to keep aircraft in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken Finnish.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Technical education at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level, or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with solid engineering judgement.
• Good spoken English for communication with vendors, OEMs and other airlines.
