Cyber Security Lead Engineer

About the role

ABB is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Lead Engineer to join its Netcontrol team in Helsinki. You will act as a subject‑matter expert on cyber security for RTU and SCADA products while also taking on team‑leader responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage long‑term R&D activities related to cyber security for Remote Terminal Units (RTU) and SCADA products.
• Lead process development for CRA compliance and IEC 62443‑4‑1 /‑4‑2 certification.
• Support the development of test systems that incorporate cyber‑security aspects.
• Contribute to the technology and product roadmap for cyber‑security features.
• Act as team leader, coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in a cyber‑security role, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Relevant degree such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to lead process changes and work with cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken); Finnish is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IEC 62443‑4‑1 and IEC 62443‑4‑2 standards.
• Experience with CRA compliance processes.
• Understanding of RTU and SCADA security concepts.
