Communications Lead, Innovation

About the role

The Communications Lead, Innovation will own and drive KONE’s external narrative on AI, technology and innovation to support growth, differentiation and market impact. The role reports to the Head of Strategy Communications and works closely with C‑suite leaders across KONE Technology & Innovation, Service, Major Projects, Marketing and global communications.

Key responsibilities

• Drive thought leadership and external communications, owning KONE’s innovation narrative in AI, technology and innovation.
• Develop insight‑led points of view and lead global thought‑leadership platforms aligned with strategic priorities.
• Secure top‑tier global media visibility and quality coverage to strengthen share of voice.
• Translate complex technical topics into clear, engaging storytelling and connect product launches to market trends.
• Act as trusted senior advisor to C‑suite, providing guidance on positioning, messaging and reputational considerations.
• Deliver end‑to‑end global communications programs, creating scalable narratives, toolkits and assets for regional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in strategic communications within a multinational or listed company.
• Proven ability to combine strategic advisory with hands‑on delivery of global external communications.
• Strong track record of influencing senior leaders and driving media impact.
• Experience in AI, technology, digital or innovation‑related topics.
• Excellent storytelling, writing and content development skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data‑led insights to improve effectiveness.
