Business Analyst Trainee – Strategy & Transformation

About the role

KONE, a global leader in elevators, escalators and automatic building doors, is looking for Business Analyst Trainees to join its Strategy & Transformation unit in Espoo. You will work as a full member of the team on high-priority strategic initiatives, helping turn complex information into clear insights and recommendations. The unit drives KONE's long-term strategy and large-scale transformations, including the execution of the Rise strategy and preparation for the potential integration of TK Elevator.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured quantitative and qualitative analyses
• Turn complex information into clear insights and recommendations
• Prepare compelling presentations
• Collaborate with stakeholders across KONE
• Recent examples include market due diligence, pricing analysis and competitor benchmarking; future work may include integration planning or other transformation initiatives

Required profile

• Senior university student close to graduation in finance, business, engineering or another relevant field
• Strong academic performance
• Some experience in demanding analytical work, e.g. consulting, private equity, banking, corporate finance or a comparable environment
• Fluency in English
• Full-time internship, starting flexibly between January and May 2027 and lasting 3 to 12 months, based primarily at KONE headquarters in Espoo

Required skills

• Strong problem-solving, analytical and logical reasoning skills
• Strong communication skills, with a strong command of PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Proficiency with AI agents and data analysis tools such as Python, Databricks, Power BI or Celonis is an advantage
