Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join Wolt’s Marketing Tech team. You will help build and scale internal services that enable marketing campaigns, consent management and data processing across the company and its partner DoorDash.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services in Golang and Python that support audience management, marketing attribution, consent platforms and bid automation.
• Build and optimise ETL pipelines and streaming data workers for large‑scale marketing data.
• Collaborate with product, analytics and marketing stakeholders to translate requirements into production‑ready solutions.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams at Wolt and DoorDash to align roadmaps and ensure seamless integration.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing and documentation to uphold high quality standards.

Required profile

• Several years of experience developing backend systems at scale.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for building tools that empower marketing teams and improve user engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Golang.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with building ETL pipelines and streaming workers.
