Technical Sales Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join its Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa. You will provide pre‑sales technical support and training to a global customer base and sales teams, helping solve technical challenges and ensuring successful application of ABB solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to technical inquiries, offer application guidance, and prepare solution proposals during the pre‑sales phase.
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FATs), product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
• Deliver training for customers and sales personnel and maintain training materials and demo environments.
• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, Technical Marketing Managers, Product Management, and R&D to ensure excellent customer experience.
• Occasional international travel as required.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience with protection relays, protection applications, or substation automation.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, ability to work independently and across teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
