Software Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Specialist to develop clinical application software for patient monitoring devices. You will join a multi‑disciplinary agile team, creating visualizations, alarms, trends and reliable data transfer for medical monitors in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and maintain application software for patient monitors.
• Develop features for visualizing physiological measurements, alarms, trends and graphics.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, defect analysis and documentation.
• Write and maintain unit and automated tests, improving testability and quality.
• Use AI coding assistants responsibly for code generation, testing, documentation and debugging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Software or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience or strong academic background in object‑oriented design, preferably with C++.
• Basic understanding of agile development, software reviews, testing and documentation.
• Interest in medical or embedded application development and willingness to learn AI coding tools.
• Fluent English and legally authorized to work in Finland.
