Service Technician – Wind Turbine Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Service Technician to join Siemens Gamesa’s wind farm team in Lestijärvi, Finland. The role involves performing technical tasks on wind turbines, including troubleshooting, maintenance and inspections, while supporting other sites within a 300 km radius.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out troubleshooting, annual maintenance and inspections on wind turbines.
• Implement improvement measures and modifications as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support teams to solve on‑site problems using electrical and mechanical expertise.
• Ensure all work follows the highest safety standards, including SFS 6002 electrical safety.
• Report and document work with detailed, high‑quality records.
• Monitor and coordinate assignments performed by subcontractors.

Required profile

• High school education with a technical orientation; electrical or mechanical background preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Fluency in English and Finnish.
• Good physical condition and ability to work at heights.
• Proactive, customer‑focused and strong safety mindset.
• Willingness to undergo a health check and drug test before starting.
