Senior Software & Data Engineer

About the role

You’ll work across the full stack — from database schema design to UI components — shipping features that directly impact how engineering teams work. We’re generalists who happen to specialize in different areas, and we expect everyone to be comfortable owning projects end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers and product managers to define product direction and build new features.
• Build integrations to HR systems for automatic team‑structure syncing.
• Create contextual product documentation within the Swarmia app.
• Develop LLM‑based services or machine‑learning models to categorize pull requests or issues.
• Extend access‑control mechanisms for delegated setup tasks.
• Analyze product telemetry to identify adoption bottlenecks.
• Build tooling that enables data‑driven product decisions.
• Surface usage signals to Sales and Customer Success for targeted support.
• Design, implement and maintain ETL pipelines feeding data into a BigQuery warehouse.
• Design data models and transformations for clean, reliable analytics datasets.
• Optimize BigQuery workloads and schemas to control costs as data volumes grow.
• Implement data‑quality checks and monitoring for warehouse reliability.

Required profile

• Proactive with strong initiative and ownership mindset.
• Transparent and collaborative, comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
• Willing to fix broken things and discuss upcoming challenges with the team.
