Senior Mobile Developer – iOS & Android (Loans)

About the role

We are looking for a senior mobile developer to shape the next generation of Nordea’s mobile banking applications for private and corporate customers, focusing on loan solutions. The role is based in Helsinki and follows a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and continuously improve iOS and Android mobile banking applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, ensure coding best practices and security.
• Own code quality, including test automation and automated UI testing.
• Participate throughout the full development lifecycle from planning to support.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, service designers and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Several years of experience delivering large‑scale mobile applications, with strong expertise in both iOS and Android.
• Passion for coding quality, ownership of features and delivering reliable solutions.
• Experience in the banking or payments domain is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Swift, Objective‑C, XCTest, iOS unit testing and UI automation.
• Kotlin, Android unit testing, Compose, XML layouts and Fragments.
• Mobile architectural patterns such as MVVM or VIPER.
• Modular design, dependency management and scalable codebases.
• Consuming REST APIs, asynchronous programming, concurrency and background processing.
• Web frontend basics: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript.
