Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and own the AWS foundation for our fast‑growing cybersecurity SaaS product, Cloud Protection for Salesforce. You will lead the creation of a new, independent AWS environment from the ground up, ensuring it is secure, compliant, and highly available.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate an AWS landing zone with multi‑account governance, guardrails, and automated account provisioning.
• Maintain the Terraform codebase, including modules, layered environments, and change‑review gates.
• Architect and manage multi‑region VPCs, centralized egress, DNS, and private connectivity to external services.
• Implement data protection and identity controls: encryption, key management, SSO federation, least‑privilege access, and rehearsed break‑glass procedures.
• Set up audit logging, configuration recording, security findings, dashboards, and alerting from day one of each account.
• Drive CI‑based OIDC deployments, artifact and container registries, and automated policy/security checks.
• Plan and execute migration of live production workloads into the new environment with staged rehearsals and cut‑over.
• Maintain a controls baseline as code aligned with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience building and operating production AWS at multi‑account, multi‑region scale.
• Deep expertise with Terraform, including state management, imports, and module design.
• Broad knowledge of networking, IAM, encryption, logging, backup, CI/CD, and cost optimization.
• Proven experience delivering at least one large‑scale migration or re‑platforming project.
• Ability to make irreversible infrastructure decisions and articulate the reasoning.
• Fluent English communication skills and willingness to work hybrid from Helsinki.
