Senior Backend Engineer – AI‑First Team

About the role

Wolt+ is the subscription service powering millions of loyal customers across 29 countries. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will join an AI‑first team that treats agentic coding as a core discipline, building the backend that powers subscription experiences for Wolt, DoorDash and Deliveroo.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end feature development from concept through production, delivering impact at scale.
• Design and implement workflows where AI agents handle complete task loops, from specification to pull request.
• Build internal tooling and abstractions that make AI‑assisted development faster and more reliable for the whole team.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners (mobile, web, product, design, data) and external platforms such as DoorDash and Deliveroo.
• Iterate quickly, ship frequently, and continuously push the boundaries of what a small, focused team can achieve.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive.
• Comfortable working at the intersection of AI and traditional software engineering.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
