Senior AI Tech Architect (Helsinki)

About the role

BCG Platinion is looking for a Senior AI Tech Architect to help leading global companies in Helsinki design and deliver AI‑driven technology solutions. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, shaping strategies, platforms and digital solutions across generative AI, cloud, data and DevOps.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own scalable target, solution and platform architectures for applications, data, cloud integration and AI.
• Design and guide implementation of modern AI and GenAI solutions, including LLM‑based applications, retrieval‑augmented generation and AI agents.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, evaluate trade‑offs (performance, security, cost) and lead prototypes or proofs of concept.
• Coordinate smaller technical teams, provide content guidance and coach engineers or junior architects.

Required profile

• Approximately four years of experience in software development, data/AI engineering, cloud/platform engineering, solution architecture or IT consulting, with responsibility for technical workstreams.
• Degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, informatics, engineering or a related technology‑intensive field.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex architecture decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with APIs, microservices, containerization, cloud‑native development, data architectures and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps/LLMOps and modern software development environments.
• Practical knowledge of AI, machine learning, generative AI, large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation and AI agents.
