Project Manager, Industry

About the role

AFRY, a European leader in engineering, design and advisory services, is looking for a Project Manager for its Process Industries division. You will work on large EPCM or detail engineering projects, combining project management and engineering management tasks. The main location is Vantaa, with hybrid work and the option to work at other AFRY offices.

Key responsibilities

• Handle engineering and project management across the phases of industrial projects.
• Lead project teams made up of engineers from different disciplines, area managers and subconsultants.
• Manage project aspects such as finance, scheduling, communication, change management and follow-up according to AFRY's project management guidelines.
• Take part in sales and development activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.) or similar degree.
• 10+ years of experience in multidisciplinary detail engineering and/or EPCM projects.
• Safety-oriented attitude and excellent cooperation, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lead large, multidisciplinary and global teams and resolve complex conflicts.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
• Sales and entrepreneurial attitude, and willingness to travel in Finland and abroad.
• Experience in mining, metals or chemical process industries, and in a start-up or new technology environment, is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the different engineering disciplines and of multidisciplinary work requirements.
• Understanding of project and engineering management and project controls tools and practices.
