MedTech Field Service Engineer – Part Time, Flexible

About the role

iQVIA's MedTech Field Service Engineer or Technician works with healthcare professionals and leads technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will install and configure hardware, software and mechanical devices for automated medication dispensing systems in healthcare facilities. The role is assignment-based, flexible and part time, with a typical week of 16-30 hours plus travel time, and requires full local, regional and national travel.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and assemble automated medication dispensing systems, covering hardware, software and mechanical devices.
• Review schematics, drawings, documentation and logistics to support installation.
• Carry out routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
• Ensure work meets quality compliance requirements.
• Work with a team of support staff, manage project timelines and customer needs.

Required profile

• Ylioppilastutkinto (university degree) and spoken English and Finnish.
• At least 1 year of related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience.
• Business acumen and communication skills.
• Comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Able to work with design engineers, project managers and healthcare personnel on equipment layout, operations and workflow.
• Ability to handle hospital vendor credentialing, including proof of vaccination status, and to hold up-to-date immunizations.
• Willingness to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Active, unrestricted driver's license, personal vehicle and ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally; located within 30 miles of a major airport.
