Medical Scientific Liaison – Diabetes Care (Finland)

About the role

Abbott Diabetes Care is seeking an experienced Medical Scientific Liaison to join its Nordic team in Finland. In this field‑based position you will act as a trusted scientific partner for key stakeholders across the diabetes community, supporting the exchange of scientific knowledge and the adoption of innovative sensor‑based glucose monitoring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare professionals and scientific societies throughout the Nordics.
• Serve as a scientific expert for Abbott Diabetes Care’s portfolio, delivering high‑quality presentations, educational programs and advisory board meetings.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access and Commercial teams to support strategic initiatives.
• Monitor emerging scientific evidence, healthcare trends and developments in diabetes and endocrinology.
• Represent Abbott Diabetes Care at national and international scientific meetings and congresses.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology or a related life‑science discipline.
• Experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Scientific Liaison, Clinical Research or a comparable scientific, field‑facing role.
• Strong understanding of evidence‑based medicine, clinical research and scientific communication.
• Demonstrated expertise in diabetes or a solid knowledge of the diabetes therapeutic area.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the Nordic region (up to 70% travel).
