Mechanical Engineer – Fixed‑term (3 months) in Espoo

About the role

Whitewater Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 3‑month fixed‑term contract in Espoo, Finland. The role supports the installation, integration and commissioning of mechanical systems on modular building and critical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee mechanical pipework installation, leak detection, venting, cathodic protection and secondary containment systems.
• Support mechanical fit‑out, HVAC, plumbing, drainage and mechanical plant installation within modular buildings.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces between modular units and site services, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover activities, working closely with subcontractors, project managers, clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical pipework systems, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with modular building projects and ITP management, quality control and inspection processes.
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
• Electrical Safety 6001 certification.
