About the role
Wärtsilä Energy is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead mechanical construction and commissioning activities on its global energy projects. You will plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical installation work, ensuring smooth progress from site installation to final hand‑over.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and own mechanical installation and commissioning plans.
- Plan, monitor and report progress of mechanical works on‑site.
- Manage scope, material flow and resources, and guide subcontractors.
- Coordinate Last Planner System (LPS) activities with subcontractors.
- Facilitate root‑cause analyses and resolve mechanical constraints.
- Maintain accurate project schedules and reporting.
- Ensure mechanical as‑built drawings are completed and communicated.
- Uphold HSSE policies and promote cost‑effective construction practices.
Required profile
- Proven experience in mechanical installation and commissioning on large‑scale projects.
- Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to spend 250‑300 days abroad per year.
