Lead Data Center Electrical Engineer

About the role

Ramboll is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer for its Data Center Facilities department in Finland, within the Nordics group. You will create data center solutions for clients, work in a multicultural team with colleagues mainly in Finland and join the Global Data Center Spearhead, which includes specialists in the Nordics, U.K., U.S.A., India and Asia. The work is done under a flexible hybrid model, with travel as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design for data center and mission-critical projects from concept design through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Design and oversee critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, utility intake, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, backup power, grounding and bonding.
• Ensure technical compliance, safety and quality by applying standards, codes, authority requirements, client specifications and internal design principles.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical, civil, structural, automation, ICT/BMS teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, utilities, authorities and clients.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews and engineering assurance, including reviewing drawings, calculations, single-line diagrams, studies, specifications, equipment selections, risk assessments and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Experience leading electrical design teams and working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience designing or constructing data center facilities.
• Experience as a consulting electrical engineer.
• Excellent communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to clients and project partners.

Required skills

• Digital design delivery using Revit/BIM 360.
