Head of Total Rewards

About the role

Verda is building a European AI cloud platform powered by 100% renewable energy. As the company scales internationally, we need a Head of Total Rewards to create the foundations of a global rewards function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own Verda's global Total Rewards strategy, covering compensation, benefits, equity and job architecture.
• Design scalable compensation frameworks, salary bands, job levels and governance processes that ensure transparency and data‑driven decisions.
• Lead compensation benchmarking and market analysis to keep the company competitive while maintaining internal equity.
• Develop and evolve a global benefits portfolio, partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to support employee wellbeing.
• Provide compensation analytics to support workforce planning, budgeting and hiring decisions.
• Adapt the rewards approach for multiple countries, balancing global consistency with local market realities.
• Establish systems, processes and governance that allow the Total Rewards function to scale with the business.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, reward consulting or a related field.
• Proven ability to design and implement compensation frameworks in fast‑growing international organisations.
• Strong expertise in compensation benchmarking, salary structure design and benefits program development.
• Experience working closely with People, Finance, Legal and senior leadership teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution capability.
