Head of Government Affairs

About the role

GSK Finland is seeking a Head of Government Affairs to lead its government affairs function at a pivotal time for healthcare policy and access to innovation. You will shape strategies that enable Finnish patients to benefit from medical breakthroughs while supporting a sustainable health system.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an ambitious Government Affairs strategy aligned with business goals.
• Anticipate Finnish and international policy developments, including MFN and pricing reforms, and translate them into actionable plans.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with government bodies, health authorities, payers, patient organisations and other key stakeholders.
• Shape evidence‑based policy solutions and partnerships that address barriers to prevention, treatment and patient access.
• Advise senior leaders and cross‑functional teams on external priorities, messaging and stakeholder engagement.
• Represent GSK with credibility in government forums, industry associations and multi‑stakeholder initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, law, political science, economics, life sciences or a related field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, health policy or external affairs.
• Deep understanding of the Finnish political and healthcare environment, including financing, reimbursement and health technology assessment.
