Group Financial Controller

About the role

Normet is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead subsidiary reporting and consolidation for its global operations. Based in Espoo, Finland, the role sits within the Group Controlling team and works closely with business line, sales area, and legal entity controllers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
• Support end‑users during the monthly closing process.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and perform internal margin eliminations.
• Assist in the implementation of new IFRS standards.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting tools, systems and processes.
• Participate in internal control self‑assessment and group audit activities.
• Update the Group accounting manual and provide training on accounting topics.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in group consolidation under IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and financial closing procedures.
• Proven experience with group consolidation tools.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish.
