Front End Store Lead

About the role

The Front End Store Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the store’s front‑end area while delivering a high standard of customer service. You will supervise the checkout team, manage cash handling procedures, and support other departments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers and address inquiries efficiently.
• Answer phones and intercom pages quickly and professionally.
• Supervise, delegate tasks, and develop the Front End team and custodial staff in the absence of store management.
• Assist checkers with loan/pull procedures to maintain accurate cash flow between the safe and register tills.
• Field customer comments and complaints, resolving issues promptly.
• Coordinate breaks and lunches while maintaining adequate staffing levels.
• Verify currency of each checker’s till at shift end and ensure accurate cash reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked front‑end department and back‑stock area.
• Support store management with departmental functions and perform opening, mid‑day, and closing duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Previous cashier or front‑end experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and employee development abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
