Front End Store Lead

About the role

The Front End Store Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the front‑end area in a retail environment. You will supervise the front‑end team, manage cash handling, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting other store departments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers and address inquiries.
• Answer phones and intercom pages efficiently.
• Supervise, delegate tasks, and develop front‑end and custodian staff in the absence of store management.
• Assist checkers with loan/pull procedures to maintain accurate cash flow.
• Field customer comments and resolve complaints quickly.
• Support store management across departmental functions.
• Verify till balances at shift end and ensure accurate cash reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked front‑end area and back‑stock shelves.
• Coordinate breaks and lunches while sustaining department flow.

Required profile

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Prior cashier or front‑end experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and employee development abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of front‑end department functions.
• Proficiency in cash management and till verification.
• Understanding of store layouts, products, and services.
