Electrical Supervisor

About the role

Mercury, a European leader in construction solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage day‑to‑day electrical operations on a complex engineering project in Helsinki. You will work closely with the Safety Advisor, QA team and the Electrical Package Manager to ensure safe, on‑time delivery of electrical installations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site safety in partnership with the Mercury Safety Advisor, including setup, maintenance and closure of the safety file.
• Liaise with Site QA and the Electrical Package Manager to achieve “right first time” installations.
• Coordinate the project schedule with other trades, package leads, consulting engineers and client requirements.
• Oversee subcontractor activities, track progress against schedule, and conduct weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Maintain the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system and issue weekly punch‑list updates.
• Record labour hours for internal tracking and attend all relevant site and project meetings.
• Close out project documentation such as O&M manuals, safety files, QA files and final hand‑over packages.
• Prepare weekly look‑ahead plans, progress reports and material delivery schedules.
• Ensure construction materials are ordered, inventory is managed and a photographic diary of progress is kept.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising electrical work on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and ability to manage safety documentation.
• Experience coordinating with QA teams, package managers and multiple trades.
• Ability to track subcontractor performance and maintain accurate progress records.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, WBS codes and material logistics.
