Electrical Supervisor / Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Wärtsilä Energy is seeking two Electrical Supervisor/Commissioning Engineers to lead electrical installation and commissioning activities on new‑build power plant projects worldwide. The role involves extensive travel (approximately 250 days per year) and collaboration with subcontractors, civil and mechanical teams, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and supervise electrical subcontractors on site, ensuring work follows the Last Planner System.
• Maintain accurate reporting, as‑built drawings, and documentation for hand‑over.
• Coordinate electrical work with civil and mechanical disciplines and perform material inspections.
• Lead weekly site meetings, conduct quality control inspections, and manage punch‑list items.
• Support clients in planning, organizing, and executing tests, ensuring safe inspection and test procedures.
• Perform testing of installed equipment, document results, and verify compliance with HSSE policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical installation and commissioning on industrial or power‑plant projects.
• Ability to work internationally with frequent travel.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
