Electrical Supervisor / Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Wärtsilä Energy is seeking two Electrical Supervisor/Commissioning Engineers to lead electrical installation and commissioning activities on new‑build power plant projects worldwide. The role involves extensive international travel (approximately 250 days per year) and collaboration with subcontractors, civil and mechanical teams, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Guide electrical subcontractors on site and ensure work follows the Last Planner System.
• Maintain accurate reporting, as‑built drawings, and HSSE compliance.
• Coordinate construction and installation activities with civil and mechanical disciplines.
• Inspect received materials, perform quality control, and lead weekly site meetings.
• Support subcontractors in planning, organizing, and executing electrical works.
• Advise clients on test planning, execution, and safety procedures.
• Conduct testing of installed equipment, document results, and manage punch‑list items.
• Ensure all required documentation is signed off for plant hand‑over.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 250 days per year.
• Ability to work in a permanent role with home‑office location in Turku, Vaasa, or Helsinki (residence not mandatory).
