Electrical Installation Technician

About the role

The Electrical Installation Technician will carry out hands‑on electrical and instrumentation installation for generator sets and related systems within global manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Installation Supervisor, you will work closely with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe, high‑quality installations that meet project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Install and terminate electrical cabling, wiring, conduits, and cable trays.
• Mount and wire electrical panels, distribution boards, and control cabinets.
• Install instrumentation devices such as sensors, meters, and monitoring systems.
• Perform installation verification and prepare systems for commissioning.
• Support subcontractor supervision and coordinate with mechanical and commissioning teams.
• Apply safety procedures, including LOTO and RAMS, and complete handover documentation.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks on site when required.

Required profile

• QQI Level 6 Advanced Trade Certificate or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proof of education, licences, and certifications as applicable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and procedures (LOTO, RAMS).
