Director, Global Supply Planning

About the role

As Director of Global Supply Planning you will lead Valmet’s worldwide teams that shape pricing, cost modelling and capacity management. You will translate strategic objectives into actionable supply and production plans, supporting commercial decisions and enhancing inventory optimisation across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global teams responsible for pricing, cost modelling and capacity management.
• Provide cost, capacity and workload analyses to support sales projects and S&OP decisions.
• Develop optimized supply and production plans by identifying constraints and recommending actions.
• Facilitate global S&OP processes, ensuring alignment across functions, suppliers and strategic partners.
• Partner with Production and Procurement to maintain accurate cost and pricing models.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience leading resources, teams or functions in a global environment.
• Strong expertise in Sales & Operations Planning and solid understanding of business operations and technologies.
• Proven track record of leading transformational initiatives and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Advanced communication, leadership, stakeholder‑management and influencing skills.
