Deli Assistant Manager (2nd) – Full‑time

About the role

The Deli Assistant Manager (2nd) supports the Deli Manager and the 1st Assistant Manager in daily operations, ensuring profitability and excellent customer service within the deli department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and promptly address inquiries.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the deli team in the absence of senior managers.
• Manage daily schedules, meal and rest breaks for the customer service team.
• Place vendor and intercompany orders, handle catering preparation, and maintain accurate inventory on the floor.
• Ensure product displays are clean, properly rotated (FIFO), correctly priced, and well‑stocked.
• Receive, inspect, and store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional, collaborative work environment and uphold safety, sanitation, and weight‑and‑measure standards.
• Operate and clean equipment according to company policies.
• Attend all scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Advanced knowledge of prepared foods, cooking techniques, and deli operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other operations‑related applications.
• Proven leadership, employee development, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
