Data Center Operations Technician – Electrical

About the role

We are looking for a Data Center Operations Technician with a strong electrical background to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure at our Lappeenranta data centre. The role ensures maximum uptime, reliability and safety of electrical and mechanical systems in a 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain UPS systems, medium‑ and low‑voltage switchgear, transformers, backup generators, ATS/STS equipment, battery systems and power distribution units.
• Monitor facility systems through BMS/EPMS platforms and perform routine inspections and operational checks.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose equipment failures and support emergency response and incident recovery.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with vendors and contractors, and document all work.
• Participate in 24/7 shift work, maintain accurate logs and assist with commissioning of new equipment.

Required profile

• Vocational qualification, diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Technology or Power Systems.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure or industrial systems in a data‑center or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Finnish electrical safety regulations and compliance standards such as SFS 6002.
