Data Center Operations Engineer – Finland

About the role

The Data Center Service / Datacenter Cloud System (DCS) team at TikTok is looking for an experienced Data Center Operations Engineer to join its fast‑growing global technology organization. You will work in a large‑scale data center environment, handling the full server rack lifecycle and ensuring reliable operation of hardware and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritize ticket queues, resolve or escalate issues with clear documentation.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations, guiding Data Center Technicians and performing hardware troubleshooting, component replacement, power cycles, BIOS/RAID configuration, OS reimaging and log analysis.
• Execute rack‑and‑stack, cabling and deployment activities across the server lifecycle.
• Support capacity expansions, retrofits, infrastructure upgrades and the rollout of new tools and processes.
• Participate in incident management, on‑call rotation, root‑cause analysis and change management.
• Maintain accurate inventory, asset tracking and operational records.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data‑center operations, IT infrastructure or hardware support.
• Relevant certifications such as EPI CDCP, CNET CDCTP or similar.
• Strong hands‑on experience with server hardware troubleshooting and support.
