Business Unit Quality Lead

About the role

The Business Unit Quality Lead for Data Centres will oversee quality assurance and control across Mercury’s HDC Business Unit. You will ensure that every data centre project meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance while embedding a culture of quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and Mercury’s internal QMS.
• Plan, conduct, and follow‑up internal and external audits, driving corrective actions and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and supply‑chain teams to integrate quality processes from design to hand‑over.
• Provide quality input during tendering and startup phases, including documentation control and record‑keeping.
• Act as the primary quality interface with clients and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
• Develop and deliver quality training for project teams and maintain strong cross‑functional networks.
• Travel to operational sites across the geographic footprint to support on‑site quality activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management for mission‑critical infrastructure, preferably data centres.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and their application in construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audits, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
