Business Development Manager

About the role

Swappie is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead its B2B supply strategy across Europe and North America. You will own a portfolio of hardware suppliers, drive growth, protect unit economics, and help make refurbished electronics mainstream.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate market‑leading terms, pricing and payment conditions for a dedicated supplier portfolio.
• Identify, qualify and onboard high‑potential suppliers to expand product categories.
• Maintain and improve supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Own weekly pricing strategy, manage purchase volumes and protect gross margins.
• Define device condition standards and RMA agreements within commercial contracts.
• Monitor shipping commitments, resolve supply or transport delays, and keep inbound forecasts accurate.
• Provide market intelligence on pricing trends, competitor behavior and device availability.
• Identify workflow friction points and suggest automation to improve efficiency.
• Participate in risk assessment for new sourcing opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation discipline.
• Ability to understand and manage device unit economics.
• Experience enforcing quality standards at the source.
• Proven track record scaling supplier pipelines across multiple regions.
• Excellent relational skills to build trust with suppliers.
