Tax & Legal Trainee (Finland)

About the role

Join KPMG’s Tax & Legal practice in Finland as a trainee for the spring 2027 period. You will work with more than 250 professionals across Helsinki, Turku, Lahti or Oulu, gaining hands‑on experience in tax and legal assignments and shaping a potential long‑term career.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of legal assignments and support clients in legal matters.
• Support corporate transactions, restructurings and M&A processes from planning through execution.
• Work on real estate law, data privacy and family wealth planning projects.
• Manage tax assignments for corporate clients, including advance tax rulings, tax appeals and tax returns.
• Assist global mobility clients with tax queries, individual tax returns and mobility processes.
• Contribute to transfer pricing and international tax matters, such as documentation, benchmarking and business transformation projects.

Required profile

• University student (third to fifth year) or recent graduate.
• For legal roles: studying law or holding an LL.M.; for tax roles: studies in taxation, law or business.
• Strong written and spoken English; Finnish fluency required for some positions.
• Interest in business‑oriented advisory work.
• Proactive, curious and positive attitude; previous relevant experience is a plus.
