Supplier QA Engineer

About the role

Metso is seeking a Supplier QA Engineer to join its Global Quality team within the Minerals business area. Based in Espoo (or Lappeenranta), Finland, you will support sustainable supply‑chain performance by managing supplier quality, driving product development and ensuring compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply‑chain quality processes, procedures and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Optimize digital tools for quality data management, reporting and process efficiency.
• Deliver training, workshops and knowledge‑sharing to build organisational capability.
• Participate in supplier qualification, assessing and improving capabilities in quality, manufacturing, performance, sustainability and compliance.
• Act as the quality focal point for projects involving supplier‑manufactured equipment, ensuring requirements are met.
• Coordinate supplier non‑conformance reports, root‑cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Review supplier quality documentation, conduct inspections and follow‑up actions to guarantee compliant deliveries.
• Capture lessons learned and support improvements to products, drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in quality management within mining, construction, process or other heavy‑industry environments.
• Proven track record of developing, implementing and improving quality processes, tools and best practices.
• Ability to travel up to 30 % domestically and internationally.
