Structural Analysis Engineer, Team Lead

About the role

As a Senior Structural Engineer you will lead the structural analysis and engineering efforts for ICEYE’s satellite programmes. You will ensure that the spacecraft meet stringent aerospace requirements for integrity, reliability and manufacturability throughout the mission lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor the Structural Analysis team.
• Define structural requirements from mission and launcher constraints down to subsystem levels.
• Lead trade studies, design reviews and verification documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement of structural design and analysis methods.
• Collaborate with hardware, AIT and quality teams to ensure launch and on‑orbit compliance.
• Support integration, validation and issue resolution across internal and external partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience leading and managing structural analysis or engineering teams.
• Hands‑on experience designing satellite structures or complex electromechanical systems.
• Deep understanding of mechanical stress, vibration and thermal effects on space structures.

Required skills

• Finite element analysis, including structural dynamics and failure analysis.
• Design of mechanical, hybrid and bonded composite joints.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards such as ECSS, NASA or MIL‑SPEC.
• Experience with PLM/PDM configuration control systems.
• Practical experience with mechanical assembly, integration and testing for launch vehicle environments.
