Sr Production Planner

About the role

As a Senior Production Planner you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth production flow and reliable deliveries within Amcor's Valkeakoski plant, a key site in the global packaging industry. You will be part of the Supply Chain team, influencing daily factory operations, customer service and overall supply‑chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production plans to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, logistics and sales to align schedules and resolve bottlenecks.
• Monitor production performance, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Support the S&OP process and demand‑planning activities.
• Prioritise orders, make timely decisions and keep the overall plan under control, even under pressure.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.

Required profile

• Technical or commercial university degree.
• Several years of experience in production planning or related supply‑chain roles.
• Proficiency with SAP production‑planning modules.
• Fluent Finnish and English communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to prioritise and make decisions in fast‑paced environments.
• Flexibility, quick learning ability and proven track record of process improvement.
• Systematic, solution‑oriented work style and good teamwork skills.
• Experience with S&OP and demand planning is a plus.
