Service Technician – Diesel Engines

About the role

BOS Power Finland Oy is looking for an experienced diesel engine technician to join its Nordic service organisation as a Service Technician in the Sotkamo/Kajaani area. You will act as the local representative for MTU engine customers, ensuring high equipment availability, operational reliability and customer satisfaction while collaborating with a local service partner and colleagues across Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for MTU diesel engines.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics and technical investigations on site.
• Implement corrective actions and follow‑up on technical issues.
• Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance documentation and accurate timesheets.
• Maintain and organise BOS Power tools and equipment.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers.
• Participate in regular technical meetings with Rolls‑Royce Power Systems, both in person and via Teams.
• Travel within Finland and occasionally to other Nordic locations.

Required profile

• Solid hands‑on experience with diesel engines and a strong technical understanding of their operation.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with customers and partners.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Accurate reporting and documentation skills.

• Familiarity with MTU engine platforms.
