Service Technician – Alajärvi

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to perform service and maintenance on wind turbines in the Alajärvi area. You will join Vestas’ Service Department, supporting customers across Scandinavia and ensuring reliable operation of our renewable energy assets.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues on wind turbines.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance, inspections, component replacements and condition‑monitoring activities.
• Operate remote control and monitoring systems to optimise turbine performance.
• Communicate with customers about completed work and upcoming service plans.
• Manage the service vehicle, warehouse inventory, tools and spare parts.
• Record daily activities and reports in SAP.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or work experience in electricity, automation or mechanics.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work at heights.
• Good physical condition and flexibility for overtime and travel.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Valid driving licence.
