Senior UX/UI Designer for New Digital Business

About the role

What happens when you’re not just designing individual screens, but actually helping shape how an entirely new digital business looks and feels from day one? That’s exactly what this role is about. Our client is an established, internationally operating digital company building a new business for the Finnish market, and you will be central to that effort.

Key responsibilities

• Own the entire UX/UI journey of a new digital business—from user research and initial ideas through to final implementation.
• Understand users, their motivations and needs, and identify the problems worth solving.
• Develop, visualise and communicate concepts, user flows and features—from early sketches to polished UI.
• Continuously validate and improve ideas based on user feedback, research and product data.
• Create an intuitive, efficient and emotionally engaging e‑commerce experience across all relevant touchpoints.
• Develop compelling visual storytelling that engages users emotionally.
• Work closely with Product, Tech, Research and other stakeholders.
• Introduce relevant trends, technologies and new design approaches where they add real value.
• Contribute to the wider UX Community of Practice and help shape UX standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, ideally in digital products, e‑commerce or other customer‑focused digital businesses.
• Experience owning the full design process independently—from research and ideation through to UI and implementation.
• Strong across different UX and UI methods and confident in both conceptual and visual design.
• A strong sense for storytelling, emotion and visual communication.
• Ability to clearly communicate design decisions and align stakeholders.
• Highly autonomous, proactive and solution‑oriented, comfortable being the sole designer in a team.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo, try new things and take ownership in a growing environment.
