Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Oura is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to bridge product design and manufacturing for its consumer‑electronics wearables. The role combines hands‑on work on the factory floor with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) activities in new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Apply DFM principles to develop manufacturing, assembly, and tooling solutions for Oura products.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to define and implement assembly and material‑handling processes.
• Develop and optimise gluing and molding processes for quality, throughput and yield.
• Plan and execute prototype builds, ensure manufacturing readiness, and support factory ramp‑ups.
• Assess manufacturing methods from a quality perspective and create detailed process documentation, SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor production at contract‑manufacturer sites, troubleshoot issues and remove bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in consumer‑electronics manufacturing, especially miniaturised products.
• Hands‑on expertise with electronics assembly, automation and collaboration with factories.
• Strong background in DFM, tooling design and manufacturing equipment.
• Systematic, organised approach with the ability to set priorities and work cross‑functionally.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
