Senior Logistics Specialist

About the role

Metso is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to join its Aggregates Global Logistics team in Tampere, Finland. You will ensure seamless global logistics operations for oversized equipment deliveries, handling complex outbound and cross‑trade transportation while supporting customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide freight estimates, transportation costs, landed prices, lead times and delivery schedules for quotation activities.
• Independently book and coordinate worldwide shipments with global and local logistics service providers, focusing on oversized and out‑of‑gauge cargo.
• Track shipments, manage delivery schedules and communicate ETA updates to customers.
• Prepare and manage transportation, export, customs and financing documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and distributors using Salesforce Customer Correspondence tools.
• Issue customer invoices, handle distributor financing matters and follow up on payments.
• Manage complex financing instruments such as Letters of Credit, bank guarantees and related banking documentation.
• Ensure accurate monthly reporting and compliance with documentation requirements.
• Act as a key user for logistics‑related systems, lead or participate in improvement projects and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex outbound and cross‑trade transportation for oversized cargo.
• Strong knowledge of export, customs and financing documentation processes.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate with multiple stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers, distributors and internal teams.
