Senior Frontend Engineer – Missions UI

About the role

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer you’ll build intuitive web interfaces that turn satellite tasking into transparent, reliable customer experiences. You will join the Missions UI team responsible for a customer‑facing on‑premise Web UI that enables tasking our satellite fleet and analysing the resulting data.

Key responsibilities

• Ship features and improvements to the tasking‑to‑delivery Web UIs reliably within the team’s agile cadence.
• Raise frontend code quality and maintainability through clean, well‑tested React/TypeScript contributions and active code reviews.
• Maintain reliability, observability and performance of live production UIs via safe, incremental deployments.
• Translate product, customer and stakeholder input into shipped solutions across team and engineering domains.
• Occasionally contribute full‑stack to backend APIs (Node.js/TS, Postgres) to unblock delivery.

Required profile

• Deep senior‑level experience in frontend development with excellent knowledge of React, TypeScript and CSS.
• Owned the architecture of a frontend subsystem, making trade‑offs on state management, performance and component boundaries.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, backend integration patterns, CI/CD pipelines and modern QA workflows.
• Willingness to contribute to backend APIs using Node.js/TS and PostgreSQL when needed.
• Experience working with live production systems and safe daily deployments.
• Commitment to testing, documentation and code reviews as essential engineering practices.
• Uses AI‑powered engineering tools daily and knows their strengths and limits.
