Senior Buyer

About the role

ReOrbit is seeking a Senior Buyer to own the full procurement lifecycle, from RFP creation to contract award and delivery. Based in Helsinki, you will work in a fast‑growing start‑up that is pushing the boundaries of space data transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end RFP process, including supplier engagement, proposal evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Manage supplier relationships for high‑value, high‑complexity procurements and oversee post‑award administration.
• Establish and negotiate subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
• Act as project owner for major sourcing initiatives, coordinating cross‑functional teams and timelines.
• Drive cost‑saving and value‑optimization opportunities through strategic sourcing and relationship building.
• Identify and resolve procurement bottlenecks by liaising with engineering and other stakeholders.
• Handle both high‑value subcontracts and low‑risk micropurchases.

Required profile

• 7+ years of supply‑chain or procurement experience.
• Proven ability to manage strict budgets and schedules.
• Deep understanding of various contract structures.
• Strategic sourcing experience in Asian (India) and European markets.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proactive communication, risk‑flagging and problem‑solving mindset.
